My spring fever is increasing by the day if not by the hour! I think this is partly due to being a teacher and having spring break looming ahead and also because the weather in Northern California has been beautiful – sunny and very warm!
Spring fever has translated into me wearing a lot of color – bright, vibrant colors and pastels. I truly believe that color can affect your mood and attitude. I love chic clothing in black, but color adds a fun and whimsical element to your look.

Two or three years ago I wouldn’t have been caught dead wearing skinny jeans. I don’t know why or how I changed my outlook on skinny jeans, but I am glad I did. I think skinny jeans can be flattering on most body types if the fit is correct.
The key to skinny jeans is finding a pair that has a little lycra or stretch. Also, you want your skinny jeans to fit your body – not too tight, but not loose or baggy. This can be tricky and a bit time consuming, but it is well worth your time. Finally, pockets are very important when wearing skinny jeans. The placement and size of the pockets on your butt can make or break your jeans. Small pockets can make your butt look bigger than it is, also pockets that are too low make your butt look flat.
Happy Friday!

Girl – I never thought I’d be wearing skinnies either but I’ve seen the light, too! You look fabulous!
Thanks so much xo
You look fabulous, loving your “preppy” outfit… and so true about the skinny jeans. Enjoy Spring Break.
